Keep every detail looking sharp.

Check effective image resolution

For small-format flat print, the sandbox guidance recommends 300 pixels per inch at final output size. A photo placed at twice its original dimensions has half its effective resolution. Simply changing the DPI field does not create real detail.

Keep logos and type as vectors

Vector artwork scales cleanly. Use vector logos where possible, embed licensed fonts in the PDF, and inspect every character after export. Outline text only when your workflow requires it and keep an editable source copy.

Export the right page setup

Use the exact finished dimensions, required bleed, and agreed PDF preset. Preserve intended overprints and transparency behavior. Avoid password-protected files and export only the pages the job requires. For booklets, follow the reading-order and page-count specification.

Inspect the exported file

Reopen the actual export, not just the design source. Check dimensions, fonts, images, page count, text, and file roles. Uploading a file proves it was received; it does not prove it is ready to print.
